What is Stainless Steel 321 Plates/Sheets?

The austenitic family of stainless steel includes the 321 stainless steel plates and sheets. 321 is essentially a titanium-stabilized version of 304. For applications where heat is a concern, type 321 is a suitable choice. Unlike 304, which is typically utilized up to 500 degrees Celsius, 321, however, can be used in applications up to 900 degrees Celsius. Excellent forming and welding properties can be found in grade 321. It would not be used for decorative applications because it does not polish well. With higher creep and stress rupture qualities than alloys 304 and 304L, the alloy is resistant to oxidation up to 1500°F (816°C). Additionally, it is harsh in low temperatures.
